About Brownsburg, IN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
In the state of Indiana, the town of Brownsburg belongs to Hendricks County. It is home to a population of 21,285 people and lies on a total area of 15.78 square miles of which 0.09 square miles is water. The town was first settled in 1825 by James B. Brown who was native to Kentucky. That time around, the area was undeveloped and was roamed by hunters and trappers while the Delaware Indians lived in the area now known as Lincoln Township.
Development can be said to have started in 1828; schools were first built in the Brown Township. The one-roomed classrooms were open to students of many ages. The Big Four Railroad began offering its services to the town in 1869. A few decades later by 1910, the railway system of Interurban was making trips from Indianapolis to Crawfordsville and back while making stops at Brownsburg.
The town value’s the safety of its residents, which is why the Brownsburg Fire Territory protects the area of Brownsburg and beyond. The capacity of the Brownsburg Fire Territory includes firefighters, medics, and other staff. The Brownsburg Police Department is no exception when it comes to maintaining the town’s remarkable security standards. With seven divisions including an Emergency Response Team and a K9 Unit, there’s no doubt that members of the community feel safe and sound.
The town’s recreational facilities include various outdoor sites such as the Arbuckle Acres Park and the Williams Park. They feature long walking trails for your regular strolls by the lake and shelter houses that can be reserved over the weekend for any outdoor events. The Natural Valley Ranch has beautiful trails that are perfect for horse riding and the friendly staff offer visitors with an interactive experience so they learn more about the animals there.
