The state of Indiana is home to the town of Plainfield, located in the Hendricks County. It is a part of three townships, namely the Guilford, liberty and Washington Townships. With a population 27,631 people, the town is positioned on a total area of 22.66 square miles of which 0.10 square miles is water.

The town is located in the Central Till Plains Region which makes the town are a mix of moderately sized hills and prairies. There are also forests that cover the land and enhance the natural beauty of the region. A tributary of the White River, the White Lick Creek flows north to south through the town’s western area. The U.S. Route 40 which is commonly named as the historic National Road runs through the town’s middle and is the primary route that runs from east to west of the town.

Various recreational activities in Plainfield will keep you occupied and make your trip memorable. The Plainfield Recreation and Aquatic Center should be on everyone's list for when they visit the town. It is located on the west side of Vestal Road. The two-leveled building is made and designed for thrill-seekers.

With an area of 11,300 square feet, you won’t run out of options on how to spend your time. The spacious center features various fitness rooms and court while the signature waterslides remain the highlight of the park. There are also decks for sunbathing and a pool that visitors can float on using tubes.

If you prefer the outdoors more then take a trip to Vandalia Trail or Hummel Park to take a relaxing walk in the midst of beautiful scenery. The landscape of these sites makes them perfect for picnics, hikes and all sorts of outdoor events so you won't get bored on that front.
